Poland to Rimini

Project: Poland – Rimini Partnership in Vocational Training

Summary: Between 17 and 24 September a project of Polish professional teachers took place in Rimini titled: ”Partnership in Vocational Training” under Erasmus+, action 1 .
6 vocational teachers from school of Józef Wybicki School of Somonino carried out a
professional internship at various Italian companies of catering and hotel industry, as
well as educational system.

What was done: It was quite an unusual project because it is typically students who go to foreign internships and teachers supervise them and make sure that everything goes properly. This time the teachers played the roles of the students. During week’s internships, teachers were job shadowed and worked together with other Italian employees. The aim of the project was responding to the needs of the improvement of professional competence as well the language, social and personal skills, which will definitely improve the quality of school work.

During their free time, participants enjoyed the attractions offered by the city of Rimini,
they were sightseeing, visited local monuments and museums, and when time allowed,
they travelled to significant places nearby, such as the Republic of San Marino and
Ravenna – the capital of mosaics.

Throughout their stay there was an employee of the Enso Group who was responsible
for the proper course of the internships, their welfare, and organized them and
accompanied them during the trips.

Teachers have returned to work at school, enriching themselves with new experiences
that will certainly help them to work with students and better understand the needs of
today’s labor market and prepare students to be qualified employees.

It is commonly known that students learn from their master. If the first one is properly
prepared, the chances of the other are increased significantly.
